Samantha and Matt are at "Outdoor Ed" this week with the entire 6th grade class in Blue Jay (which is close to Arrowhead). They are having a great time. Matt is overseeing eight 6th grade boys who are quite "active". He reported that four of them woke up at 4 a.m. today to take showers. Needless-to-say, Matt vetoed that idea! Other than not getting enough sleep, he is having a great time. I haven't talked with Sam but Matt sees her a few times throughout the day and he says she's having alot of fun. Today they zip-lined (Matt too). I would have loved to have seen that!
Shelby, Saylor and I are doing fine, however, the family dynamics of three instead of five are amazingly different! It's much more quiet and I can actually keep the house clean (kind of). We miss Matt and Samantha alot. Matt and I are a good tag-team; especially when it comes to Saylor. I'm with her all day so it's nice to depend on Matt to hang out with her so I can get a much-needed break from this busy three year old! I'm sure as the week continues to unfold, we will be more than ready for them to come home.
